I decided to take a half day off work on the Friday before going to Lemakoh and rode up to Kluang to spend time with the wife’s family. The trip gave me the opportunity to also try out some of the local restaurants in Kluang and in neighboring Paloh.
The seafood dinner at Restoran Hock Ling Men gave me a minor allergy that night and made my legs itch while I slept. Did not know I had an allergy to anything other than strawberries. The joys of growing older, nothing to do with the restaurant or the food.
The rest of the campers, Donny and Syed rode over to Tangkak Beef Noodle the next day. The restaurant is in Kluang - NOT in Tangkak by the way. Breakfast was at Kluang Rail Coffee. The buns were on the sweeter side but they have a wickedly good taste to them. Kind of burnt kaya, kind of not. The sweetness lingers for a while before being banished by the next sip of tea (or coffee, whichever your vice).
The caffeine in the tea kept me up at night a bit but the warm, buzzy feeling of drinking tea and the satisfaction that comes afterwards is worth a couple of hours of later sleep in my book.
We then continued on to Kahang and Lemakoh. More on that here Lemakoh Camping
